Summary: Guest haus Maria was amazing. I had been worried at the lack of other reviews on expedia and VRBO, but we could not have been more impressed. The house itself is stunning and large. We were a party with two parents and two adult children and there are 3 full sized bedrooms. We were able to really stretch out during this portion of our journey, a relief after small hotel rooms. One of the bedrooms has a view of the castle and two have doors to the beautiful outside porch areas. The house is located in German wine country and is on the edge of a large forest. We drove a half hour and found a 5 mile loop hike to 3 different 12th century castle ruins with a beer garden along the way. There are hikes and wineries everywhere in this region of Germany. Michael gave us easy instructions for entering the property and was very helpful in providing recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities. He really made us feel at home. We hope to return some day!!
